Gone are the days of holding up fingers or minutes-remaining signs for the presenter to notice or interrupting speakers to tell them that they are out of time. The Presentime app is an easy-to-use countdown timer designed for presentations, performances, and debate competitions with a remarkable difference. Apart from functioning as a standalone timer, Presentime offers the unique feature of being utilized as a broadcasting Master Timer or synchronized with a Master Timer. Leveraging iOS 7's Multipeer Connectivity, Presentime enables direct device-to-device communication, allowing adjustments to be made on-the-fly by a moderator or colleague in the audience without disrupting the flow. A simple glance at the Presentime app intermittently is all that's required to stay on top of the time remaining.

Synchronized, On-the-Fly Adjustment:

• Meeting chairs or directors can pause the Master Timer when presenters are interrupted and even modify the remaining time on the fly when necessary. Changes made on the Master Timer are instantaneously mirrored on all synchronized devices. Synchronization is facilitated through iOS 7's Multipeer Connectivity framework, providing direct device-to-device discovery and connection via WiFi or Bluetooth without dependency on a network connection or Bluetooth pairing.

Utilizing Presentime is swift and straightforward:

• To set the presentation duration, tap the Set button and adjust it by sliding your finger vertically on the time display. Time-remaining alert settings are altered by shifting the yellow, orange, and red alert markers horizontally. Initiate the timing by tapping the Start button.
• During timing, the Start button transitions to a Pause/Resume control. The allocated time can be fine-tuned in thirty-second increments using dedicated adjustment buttons that appear contextually. Any adjustments made are reflected underneath the countdown display. Alert settings can also be modified during the presentation as needed. As the remaining time approaches each alert setting, the display background changes color to draw attention. Alerts can be supplemented with optional sounds and vibrations on iPhones.
• To conclude timing, press and hold the End button for a second, preparing for the next presenter starts anew by tapping the Set button. Default duration and alert-time values can be personalized in the app's Settings screen, streamlining setup for subsequent equally timed presentations to just tapping Set followed by Start.

Becoming a Master Timer:

• Select "Master Timer" from the segmented mode control. That's it – your device now operates as a Master Timer. The displayed four-digit connection ID is used by other devices seeking synchronization.

Synchronizing with a Master Timer:

• To synchronize devices effortlessly, choose "Synched" from the segmented mode control and input the four-digit connection ID of the Master Timer.
